Our Goals

Our focus is on creating a supportive and empowering environment where female athletes can grow, excel, and reach their full potential. With the guidance of our dedicated coaching staff and faculty, we are committed to helping each player develop both as an athlete and as an individual. 

We aim to foster a team culture that values hard work, dedication, and collaboration, while also promoting confidence and leadership. Our goal is not only to improve our skills on the court, but also to inspire each player to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. We are excited to continue building a program that fosters success, growth, and camaraderie, and we look forward to the achievements we will accomplish together this season and beyond.

KEY COMPONENTS OF THE STM BASKETBALL PROGRAM

  • Individual training focusing on skill development utilizing drills deveopled for rapid improvement
  • Integration of legitimate academic issues into each student’s program ensuring success in the classroom and beyond
  • Provide an over-riding purpose to the program which is clearly visible to the players that goes beyond winning
  • Participation in a year round strength and conditioning program 
  • Participation in a year round speed and agility program
  • Market each student athlete through the wide base of relationships with college programs
  • Livestream games
  • Emphasize all practices will be orderly, imaginative, competitive, planned, enjoyable, and goal-oriented

 

SAMPLE SEASON ITINERARY

Fall: September – October

  • Ability to enroll is sport focused strength and conditioning program
  • Receive individual skill development workouts with coaches
  • Utilize open gym time prior to the start of each school day

Winter: November – March

  • Continue utilizing open gym time prior to the start of the school day
  • Practice daily for 1.5 to 2 hours
  • Participate in NEPSAC C League, SENE and other New England basketball league games

Spring: April – May

  • Organized afternoon workouts to improve skill development while preparing upper class and PG students for their transition to college athletics
  • Continue individual strength and training programs
  • Continue to open the gym prior to the start of each school day for individual growth and development
  • Invite Coaches to campus to evaluate and recruit underclassmen and unsigned seniors
