HEAD COACH
Berkeley Cecchini-Bond
Berkeley Cecchini-Bond enters her first season as Head Coach of the girls’ soccer team at STM with a strong background in coaching and playing experience.
A 2008 graduate of Montville High School, Berkeley went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Johnson & Wales University (Providence, RI) in 2012, where she was also was a member of the women’s soccer team. She continued her education at Southern New Hampshire University, graduating in 2015 with an M.B.A. in Athletic Administration.
Berkeley brings over a decade of coaching experience to STM. Her coaching career includes ten years with Montville Youth Soccer Club, two seasons as Head Coach at Old Saybrook High School—where she led the team to a State Final appearance in her first season—one season as an Assistant Coach at Mitchell College, two seasons as Assistant/JV Coach at Montville High School, and one season as Head Coach at Fields Memorial School. She has also served as a youth soccer tryout evaluator in multiple towns and has coached both boys and girls across various levels of play.
As a player, Cecchini-Bond had an impressive collegiate career at JWU. In 2010, she led the Wildcats in games played (20), scored seven goals, and recorded a team-high 10 assists, earning Second Team All-GNAC honors. In 2009, she played in 17 games and was named to the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll. She was also part of two teams honored with the NSCAA Team Academic Award (2009–2010, 2011–2012).
Before college, she played 14 years with Montville Youth Soccer Club and spent eight years competing with Southeast Soccer Club (formerly Southeast Premier).
In addition to soccer, Berkeley has also coached other sports, including serving as Assistant Boys Tennis Coach at Montville High School and Assistant Girls Lacrosse Coach at Old Saybrook High School
Beyond the field, Berkeley is the founder and owner of BCB Coaching LLC, a company offering services in Health and Life Coaching, Personal Training, and Soccer Training.
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH
Josh Frigo
Joshua Frigo brings a dynamic blend of academic excellence, hands-on coaching experience, and applied sport science to the field of strength and conditioning. He holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Tampa (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport from the University of Connecticut (2020).
Joshua has worked with athletes at every level, contributing to performance programs across multiple NCAA Division I and II institutions. At Yale University, he served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern, supporting football and Olympic sports in both lifting and speed development sessions. While at Sacred Heart University, he worked as a volunteer strength coach with football, softball, cross country, and track and field, helping implement team training programs that emphasized both injury prevention and athletic performance.
His role as a Sport Scientist at the University of Tampa allowed him to bridge the gap between research and performance. There, he led data collection and sport science initiatives for the women’s soccer and basketball programs, using evidence-based metrics to enhance training strategies and recovery protocols.
Joshua’s research contributions include two published abstracts in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning and the European College of Sport Science. He has also presented at premier international conferences, including the National Strength and Conditioning Association National Conference in New Orleans and the European College of Sport Science International Conference in Seville, Spain.
