We look forward to the leadership, energy, and experience Coach De Gannes will bring to our program.

Joshua Frigo brings a dynamic blend of academic excellence, hands-on coaching experience, and applied sport science to the field of strength and conditioning. He holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Tampa (2022) and a Bachelor of Arts in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Nutrition for Exercise and Sport from the University of Connecticut (2020).

Joshua has worked with athletes at every level, contributing to performance programs across multiple NCAA Division I and II institutions. At Yale University, he served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern, supporting football and Olympic sports in both lifting and speed development sessions. While at Sacred Heart University, he worked as a volunteer strength coach with football, softball, cross country, and track and field, helping implement team training programs that emphasized both injury prevention and athletic performance.

His role as a Sport Scientist at the University of Tampa allowed him to bridge the gap between research and performance. There, he led data collection and sport science initiatives for the women’s soccer and basketball programs, using evidence-based metrics to enhance training strategies and recovery protocols.

Joshua’s research contributions include two published abstracts in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning and the European College of Sport Science. He has also presented at premier international conferences, including the National Strength and Conditioning Association National Conference in New Orleans and the European College of Sport Science International Conference in Seville, Spain.

Driven by a passion for performance and backed by science, Joshua is committed to helping athletes reach their full potential through intelligent programming, innovative technology, and a relentless work ethic.
